Who White Lotus is

White Lotus is operated by Stephanie Ochoa, a sole proprietor based in Texas, United States. For anything concerning this page, write to stephanie@whitelotus.world.

Adults only

The interactive and member parts of White Lotus are intended for adults aged 18 or older, and White Lotus does not intentionally offer those services to minors. For this purpose the platform asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older and records that confirmation together with the date and the version of the policy you confirmed. It does not collect your date of birth and does not ask for identity documents.

Your account

You create an account with an email address and a password. Passwords are handled by the authentication system and are never visible to White Lotus. Your account holds your email, your narration preference, your reading credit balance and, if you have chosen it, whether you agreed to have pseudonymous reading data used for research.

Your readings

Readings you complete are saved to your account: the cards drawn, the intention you wrote, the interpretation, and anything built from them — Patterns, Field Stories, Archetype cycles, narration audio and downloadable PDFs. They are private to your account: they are not shown in Community, not shown to other members, and not visible to anyone signed out. Authorized White Lotus administration and the service providers that run the platform may access this information where it is necessary to operate, support, secure or fulfil the service.

If you turn research participation on, timing information about your readings is recorded under a separate research identifier rather than your name or email, and never includes your intention text. Because the identifier is separate, the research record is pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous.

If you later turn research participation off, no further observations are recorded from that moment on. Observations already recorded remain in the research dataset under the separate identifier unless you ask for them to be removed; write to stephanie@whitelotus.world and they will be deleted.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never reach White Lotus. White Lotus stores only a customer reference, a payment reference, the amount, the currency and whether the payment succeeded, so your purchase history and credits are correct.

Service providers

White Lotus is a small operation and relies on outside infrastructure to run: a hosting, database and authentication provider that stores account, reading, Community and Realignment information; Stripe for payments; and a transactional email provider for service messages such as booking confirmations. These providers process information on behalf of White Lotus so the service can function, and their staff may access it where necessary for hosting, support, security or troubleshooting.

Community

Your Community profile — display name, handle, optional avatar and short bio — is separate from your private account. It is what other signed-in members see. Your readings, Patterns, Field Stories, credits and account activity are never shown through Community.

• Discussions, replies, images and video you post are visible to signed-in members only, not to anonymous visitors or search engines.
• Resonates and saved posts are recorded against your account.
• Blocking someone is not shown to other members.
• When you report something, a copy of the reported content is kept as evidence so it can be reviewed even if it is later withdrawn.
• Moderation actions are recorded, including a copy of removed content, for accountability.
• Withdrawing your own post removes it from view; its media is hidden and then permanently deleted after a retention window.

Realignments

When you book a Realignment, White Lotus stores the exact hour you reserved, your time zone, the amount paid and its payment reference, the status of the session, and any changes made to the booking. What you write in the focus field is stored with your booking and read by Stephanie before your reserved hour.

What you write in the focus field is treated as private Realignment information and is used to carry out your Realignment. It is not visible to other members or to the public; Stephanie reads it, and the providers that host the platform hold it on White Lotus's behalf. Please do not put passwords, bank or card details, medical records or anything else you would rather not have stored into that field. Your recording and written summary are stored privately for you: another member cannot reach them, a signed-out visitor cannot reach them, and they are never reachable from Community. Stephanie's own working notes are private to her and are not shown to you.

Journal

Published Journal articles are public and can be read without an account. Unpublished drafts are visible only to White Lotus.

Analytics and site measurement

White Lotus uses its own private, first-party measurement tools to understand how people use the website and improve the experience. This may include information such as pages visited, general navigation paths, feature usage, referral source, and whether actions such as a reading purchase or booking were completed.

White Lotus does not use third-party advertising trackers, session recording, device fingerprinting, or outside analytics services for this purpose.

Analytics does not collect the private content of your readings, intentions, reflections, Field Stories, Community posts, Realignment information, private messages, or payment card details. It does not store your name, email address or raw IP address. Signed-in activity is recorded against an internal account reference only.

Signed-out visitors may be assigned a random first-party identifier, stored in your own browser, so visits within the same browsing session or a return visit can be counted without identifying the person by name. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. Analytics records are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted.

Essential technologies may be used by White Lotus and its service providers for authentication, security, payment processing and basic preferences.

Keeping and deleting information

Your Realignment recordings, written summaries and booking records stay privately available to you until you delete them, delete your account, or ask White Lotus to remove them.

You can delete your White Lotus account yourself from your Account page. Deleting it permanently removes your profile, saved readings, Field Stories, narrations, artwork and other private files; payment and accounting records are kept only in a de-identified form that is no longer linked to you.

After deletion White Lotus keeps one minimal marker — a scrambled, non-readable value derived from your email address that cannot be read back as an email — solely so the one-time complimentary first reading cannot be claimed again. It holds no reading, name or profile information, and it does not stop you creating a new account or using White Lotus normally.

After a deletion request, White Lotus may keep a limited amount of information where it genuinely needs to: business and accounting records, preventing fraud or abuse, handling a dispute, or meeting a legal obligation. Where Community moderation or safety evidence is kept for those reasons, it is kept only to the extent necessary — it is not a reason to hold on to your full profile or your ordinary withdrawn posts.

Your choices and requests

You can write to stephanie@whitelotus.world to ask for a copy of the personal information White Lotus holds about you, to correct something that is wrong, or to have your account and its contents deleted. You can also turn research participation on or off yourself at any time. Requests are honoured subject to the limited records White Lotus may need to keep for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety or dispute purposes.

Changes to this page

This page may be updated as White Lotus changes. When it is, the effective date shown at the top is updated, and material changes apply going forward.
